Ingredients

  • 3 cans sliced peaches with juice
  • ½ cup All Purpose flour prefer White Lily
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves optional
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 1 9-oz box Jiffy cake mix
  • 1 handful chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 12 thin pats unsalted butter, room temperature

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9X13 baking dish and preheat the oven to 350℉.

  2. Dump the peaches in their juice into a mixing bowl along with ½ cup AP flour, ½ cup granulated sugar, 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg, ¼ teaspoon ground cloves and ½ cup of melted butter and mix until combined.

  3. Dump this mixture into your prepared baking dish and sprinkle an even layer of Jiffy cake mix followed by an even layer of chopped nuts. Dollop with the thin pats of butter.

  4. Bake at 350℉ for about 1 hour and 20 - 30 minutes depending on your oven. Note: You may need to cover with foil during the last 30 minutes as not to burn the nuts, especially if your oven has hot spots.

  5. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving with a generous scoop if vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
