Here’s another fun and easy tablescape for four. Cross two table runners and use the ends as a placemat. A few brass candlesticks and tapered candles make this tablescape a little more formal, but still easy enough to pull together at the last minute.
HERE’S WHAT I DID
Our formal dining table is a round glass table and while I love how elegant a formal dining table can be, I wanted to pull it back and keep it fun and less formal. Don’t get me wrong, I love tablecloths. Tablecloths not only add wonderful color and texture, but they can transform any table (background) into a clean slate for any specific table decor.
I crossed the table runners and ran the same greenery from my Simple Fall Tablescape straight across. Instead of using votive candles, I opted for formal brass candlesticks and long tapers candles. A few mini pumpkins and dry persimmons scattered about for added color. The pumpkin napkins complement the runner. While I used the same charger, plates, flatware and pressed glass water goblet, I did change the wine glass to another Italian glass with a green rim.
While both glasses are wine glasses, I didn’t place them properly. The water glass is always placed to the left of the wine glass on the right side. Eden Passante, Sugar and Charm creator and one of my favorite bloggers, shared this beautiful guide on Instagram. If you’re not following her, you should. She’s been blogging for 10 years and has been featured in countless magazines and websites. You’ve probably seen her work, it’s very beautiful and she’s a joy to follow. Below is the only picture I took of my setting with proper placement. Thanks Eden!

I hope you find inspiration to create your own tablescape this fall. No matter how you celebrate, remember it’s always about those around the table and not what’s on the table.
