I bought a bar cart early this spring and I’m so happy I styled it for Christmas. This gorgeous, classic champagne bronze three-tiered cart is from Macy’s. I love everything about it – the color, shape and three levels. Because it has such a classic look, I wanted to keep the styling simple and play off of the gold tones. Simple is always best for me.
Let me detail what I did. Starting on the top shelf and working down. I started by adding a small tree and tied a red ribbon around the base. I added a gold reindeer I had from a few years ago and a beautiful gold Santa candle I picked up at HomeGoods this year. I think he looks perfect just standing there. Next to it I placed our whisky decanter with three glasses.
In the middle shelf I placed various flavored liqueur bottles, mostly because of the size restriction – it just worked out that way. I added a collection of Santa wine bottle stoppers in a vintage Indiana Glass scalloped open sugar bowl I’ve had for years along with three beautiful mini martini glasses with gold polka dots I found at two different HomeGoods this year. You can see them here in my Coquito post. I wish I could find more to have a set of six or eight. Maybe they will return next year. I also added a silver mercury glass Christmas tree and a gold mercury glass candle tree from Target.
In addition to large bottles and a few cocktail books, I added a Lenox Santa and a small Lenox vase (antique find) with snowmen swizzle sticks, an American Concord Sandwich glass vintage ice bucket, tongs and gold plated jigger. I rounded out the whole decor with a simple red, white and green felt ball garland from Target. I love how it looks and the right amount of festive in this little space.
I hope my simple decor inspires you to create something beautiful in your home.
